Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work The Pentecost by Marcantonio Bassetti for GBP 940.00 (€ 1,519.18). This price was achieved in the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcantonio Bassetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The dead Christ supported by the Virgin and Mary Magdalen in January 2003 with an auction result of USD 273,500.00 (€ 254,679.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Pentecost von Marcantonio Bassetti für GBP 940,00 (€ 1.519,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcantonio Bassetti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The dead Christ supported by the Virgin and Mary Magdalen im Januar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 273.500,00 (€ 254.679,21).
