Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century Decorative Art & Design, which included the work Spanish Dancer Sculpture, Circa 1925 by Marcel Andre Bouraine. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,927.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcel Andre Bouraine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Penthesila, Queen Of The Amazons, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,065.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century Decorative Art & Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish Dancer Sculpture, Circa 1925 von Marcel Andre Bouraine zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.927,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcel Andre Bouraine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Penthesila, Queen Of The Amazons beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.065,69) versteigert wurde.
