This artwork by Marco Dente achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2020. In the Old Master Prints auction, the work Venus and Cupid on Dolphins sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,067.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Marco Dente have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Laocoön in January 2021 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,271.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marco Dente erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Prints wurde die Arbeit Venus and Cupid on Dolphins für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.067,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marco Dente auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Laocoön im Januar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.271,53).
