Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Annunciation by Marco Palmezzano was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 88,500.00 (€ 99,907.88). Other works by Marco Palmezzano have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2018 by the work Christ Carrying The Cross at GBP 150,000.00 (€ 167,113.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Annunciation von Marco Palmezzano im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 88.500,00 (€ 99.907,88) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Marco Palmezzano wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2018 die Arbeit Christ Carrying The Cross mit GBP 150.000,00 (€ 167.113,30).
