Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saint Sebastian by Marco Palmezzano was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 168,000.00 (€ 133,079.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Marco Palmezzano have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2018 the work Christ Carrying The Cross was auctioned for GBP 150,000.00 (€ 167,113.30).
