Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life with Harbour View by Margaret Olley was sold in the Australian Art auction at Christies in London in September 2013. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,825.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaret Olley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hawkesbury Wildflowers and Pears I, 1973, which sold at auction in November 2021 for AUD 159,900.00 (€ 141,667.40).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.825,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden.
