In September 2020 Bonhams in Melbourne held the auction Australian Art | Modern to Contemporary, which included the work Zinnias and Plums, 1985 by Margaret Olley. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 73,200.00 (€ 62,468.00), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaret Olley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hawkesbury Wildflowers and Pears I, 1973, which sold at auction in November 2021 for AUD 159,900.00 (€ 141,667.40).

Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in Melbourne die Auktion Australian Art | Modern to Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Zinnias and Plums, 1985 von Margaret Olley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 73.200,00 (€ 62.468,00) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Margaret Olley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hawkesbury Wildflowers and Pears I, 1973 beobachtet, die im November 2021 für AUD 159.900,00 (€ 141.667,40) versteigert wurde.
