Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Gare du Métro by Maria Helena Vieira da Silva was sold in the Art Contemporain Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Paris in December 2020. The price achieved of EUR 151,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maria Helena Vieira da Silva achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Incendie I (The Fire I) in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 2,048,750.00 (€ 2,332,614.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Gare du Métro von Maria Helena Vieira da Silva wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Art Contemporain Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 151.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maria Helena Vieira da Silva erzielen.
