Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Photographs Online, which included the work Un Umo, Una Donna, Un Amore, 1953-1963 by Mario Giacomelli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 813.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Giacomelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Images in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,279.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Photographs Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Un Umo, Una Donna, Un Amore, 1953-1963 von Mario Giacomelli zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 813,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Giacomelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Images im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.279,51).
