Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea & Identita’ Italiana un’Importante Collezione Privata, which included the work Composizione by Mario Sironi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Sironi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paesaggio Con Tempio in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 826,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea & Identita’ Italiana un’Importante Collezione Privata durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composizione von Mario Sironi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Sironi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paesaggio Con Tempio im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 826.500,00.
