Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hide And Seek': A Pair of Bookends by Abastenia St. Leger Eberle was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in March 2005. The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 3,886.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abastenia St. Leger Eberle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Sea Treasures' in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 108,589.10).
