Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Flowers And Lighthouse by Mary Swanzy. The price achieved of GBP 48,050.00 (€ 54,368.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mary Swanzy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cubist Landscape With Red Pagoda And Bridge, which sold at auction in September 2016 for GBP 112,500.00 (€ 130,288.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers And Lighthouse von Mary Swanzy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 48.050,00 (€ 54.368,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mary Swanzy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cubist Landscape With Red Pagoda And Bridge beobachtet, die im September 2016 für GBP 112.500,00 (€ 130.288,97) versteigert wurde.
