Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Enkelin und Kinderfrau auf der Gartenbank by Max Liebermann was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 74,060.00 (€ 85,041.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Liebermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zwei Reiter Am Strand Nach Links (Two Riders On The Beach To The Left) in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,865,000.00 (€ 2,629,626.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Enkelin und Kinderfrau auf der Gartenbank von Max Liebermann kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 74.060,00 (€ 85.041,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Liebermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zwei Reiter Am Strand Nach Links (Two Riders On The Beach To The Left) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.865.000,00 (€ 2.629.626,59).
