Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Etude De Têtes, Homme Au Burnous Et Au Fez by Max Moreau was sold in the Orientalist Paintings auction at Artcurial in Paris in June 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,428.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Max Moreau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Place De Bab-Souïka Et La Mosquée Sidi Mahrez, Tunis in June 2013 with an auction result of EUR 36,372.00.

Die Arbeit Etude De Têtes, Homme Au Burnous Et Au Fez von Max Moreau wurde im Juni 2011 in der Auktion Orientalist Paintings bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.428,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Moreau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Place De Bab-Souïka Et La Mosquée Sidi Mahrez, Tunis im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 36.372,00.
