It achieved a price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,359.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Admittedly, works by Meera Mukherjee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Mango Orchard) in March last year with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 204,453.26).

Die Arbeit Untitled (The Rumour) von Meera Mukherjee wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 34.359,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Meera Mukherjee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Mango Orchard) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 204.453,26).
