Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2014 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Meera Mukherjee for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,427.23). This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Meera Mukherjee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Mango Orchard) in March last year with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 204,453.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2014 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Meera Mukherjee für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.427,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Meera Mukherjee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Mango Orchard) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 204.453,26).
