Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2008 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian yellow Ochre by Michael Johnson. The price achieved of AUD 43,200.00 (€ 25,217.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Michael Johnson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Australian Yellow Ochre was auctioned for AUD 66,000.00 (€ 39,758.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2008 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian yellow Ochre von Michael Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 43.200,00 (€ 25.217,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Michael Johnson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2007 die Arbeit Australian Yellow Ochre für AUD 66.000,00 (€ 39.758,17) versteigert.
