Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram R. Firestone, which included the work The Pack Goes Out For The Lay-On: The Vale Of The White Horse Hunt At Eastleach by Michael Lyne. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,913.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Lyne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The End Of The Day in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 24,675.00 (€ 29,118.48).

Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram R. Firestone durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Pack Goes Out For The Lay-On: The Vale Of The White Horse Hunt At Eastleach von Michael Lyne zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 5.913,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00.
