The work Mars giving up his armes by Michel Anguier was sold in the Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 226,800.00 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Michel Anguier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Neptune agité in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,525,000.00.

Die Arbeit Mars giving up his armes von Michel Anguier wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 226.800,00 und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michel Anguier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Neptune agité im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.525.000,00.
