Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans Titre - 1962 by Michel Macréau was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art I auction at Artcurial in Paris in December 2018. It changed hands for a price of EUR 67,600.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michel Macréau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tatouage Sur Le Sorcier - 1961, which sold at auction in June 2018 for EUR 143,000.00.

Die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1962 von Michel Macréau wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art I bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 67.600,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michel Macréau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tatouage Sur Le Sorcier - 1961 beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für EUR 143.000,00 versteigert wurde.
