Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Natura morta con zucca, uva e pere by Michelangelo Cerquozzi was auctioned at Il Ponte in October 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 14,000.00 – 16,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michelangelo Cerquozzi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work King Midas in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 98,515.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Natura morta con zucca, uva e pere von Michelangelo Cerquozzi im Oktober 2013 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 14.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 12.000,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michelangelo Cerquozzi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit King Midas im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 98.515,20).
