The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,863.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Female Saint is the most expensive artwork by Michele di Matteo da Bologna that we have observed at auctions so far.
