Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work Petra I by Mohamed Abdalla Otaybi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,558.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Mohamed Abdalla Otaybi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March last year the work Seated Female Holding Flowers, 2018 was auctioned for GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,232.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Petra I von Mohamed Abdalla Otaybi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.558,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Mohamed Abdalla Otaybi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März letzten Jahres die Arbeit Seated Female Holding Flowers, 2018 für GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.232,64) versteigert.
