Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2020 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Mohammad Ali Talpur for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,400.13). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Mohammad Ali Talpur have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Leeka in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 247,500.00 (€ 21,636.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2020 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mohammad Ali Talpur für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.400,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mohammad Ali Talpur auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Leeka im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 247.500,00 (€ 21.636,03).
