Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wide rimmed pot by Mohammed Ahmed Abdalla Abbaro was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,423 (€ 2,787) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as GBP 2,000 - 3,000. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mohammed Ahmed Abdalla Abbaro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pot (with narrow neck), 1986, which sold at auction in March 2019 for GBP 6,937 (€ 8,052).

Die Arbeit Wide rimmed pot von Mohammed Ahmed Abdalla Abbaro wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.423 (€ 2.787) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000 – 3.000 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mohammed Ahmed Abdalla Abbaro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pot (with narrow neck), 1986 beobachtet, die im März 2019 für GBP 6.937 (€ 8.052) versteigert wurde.
