Auction result well in line with expectations

In May 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Asian Ceramics and Works of Art, which included the work A Hanging Scroll by Mori Sosen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,200.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mori Sosen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peacock and pinks in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,501.56).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Asian Ceramics and Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Hanging Scroll von Mori Sosen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.200,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mori Sosen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peacock and pinks im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.501,56).
