Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Monkeys and peaches by Mori Sosen for USD 11,352.50 (€ 11,491.55). This price was achieved in the auction Japanese and Korean Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Mori Sosen have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2012 by the work Peacock and pinks at USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,501.56).
