In September 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included this untitled work by Nam Kwan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,314.50 (€ 796.67), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nam Kwan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work COMPOSITION CALLIGRAPHIQUE (2) in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 129,472.73).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen

Im September 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nam Kwan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.314,50 (€ 796,67) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nam Kwan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit COMPOSITION CALLIGRAPHIQUE (2) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 129.472,73).
