In November last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale, which included the work Are You in the Game? by Natee Utarit. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 882,000.00 (€ 109,449.00), 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Natee Utarit have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work GOD in May last year with an auction result of HKD 4,032,000.00 (€ 478,684.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Are You in the Game? von Natee Utarit zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 109.449,00) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Natee Utarit auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit GOD im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.032.000,00 (€ 478.684,93).
