This artwork by Nemesio Antúnez achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2010. In the Living with Design: The Collections of Walter Lees and Mr NC. auction, the work Recuerdo de Siena sold for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,526.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nemesio Antúnez; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Nieves Aisladas sold at auction in February 2021 with the realized price of USD 16,562.50 (€ 13,695.94).
