Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Neri di Bicci could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings auction, the work Madonna And Child Between Tobias And Archangel Raphael And Saint Catherine changed hands for USD 37,800.00 (€ 30,998.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Neri di Bicci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Martyrdom of Saint Januarius: panel from a predella in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 325,250.00 (€ 413,233.79).
