Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Archangel Raphael prevents a suicide by Neri di Bicci was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings Including Property From the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker auction at Christies in New York in April 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 102,000.00 (€ 74,670.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Neri di Bicci have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Martyrdom of Saint Januarius: panel from a predella in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 325,250.00 (€ 413,233.79).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 102.000,00 (€ 74.670,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
