In October 2001 Christies in London held the auction ITALIAN ART, which included the work Regno dei fiori by Nicola de Maria. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 108,250.00 (€ 174,947.79), 55% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Regno dei fiori the most expensive artwork by Nicola de Maria that we have observed at auctions so far.
