Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cockerel by Nicola Hicks was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,432.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicola Hicks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sorry, Sorry Sarajevo in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 42,931.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cockerel von Nicola Hicks kam im Mai 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.432,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicola Hicks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sorry, Sorry Sarajevo im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 42.931,66).
