This artwork by Nigel Hall achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Sydney in March 2006. In the THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION auction, the work Desert Rose sold for AUD 21,510.00 (€ 12,696.20) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nigel Hall; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Large Glacier sold at auction in December 2018 with the realized price of EUR 13,640.00.

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nigel Hall; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Large Glacier im Dezember 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 13.640,00.
