This artwork by Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerikh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in April 2008. In the Russian Art auction, the work Study of A Shore sold for USD 217,000.00 (€ 139,388.49) - well above the upper estimate of USD 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerikh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tsong-Kha-Pa, From The Series Banners of The East in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 856,000.00 (€ 678,073.51).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerikh erzielte im April 2008 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Art wurde die Arbeit Study of A Shore für USD 217.000,00 (€ 139.388,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 90.000,00.
