Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Twilight by Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 103,250.00 (€ 128,644.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian Summer Has Ended, which sold at auction in November 2008 for USD 572,500.00 (€ 451,000.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Twilight von Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 103.250,00 (€ 128.644,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Nikolai Nikanorovich Dubovskoy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russian Summer Has Ended beobachtet, die im November 2008 für USD 572.500,00 (€ 451.000,47) versteigert wurde.
