Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Danish nakskov Havn (Nakskov Harbour) by Ole Ring was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2010. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,080.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ole Ring have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Danish vinterlandsby (Town In Winter) in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,849.95).
