Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Feuergouache by Otto Piene. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 55,500.00 23% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto Piene achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dynamisches Volumen in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 825,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Feuergouache von Otto Piene zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 55.500,00 und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otto Piene erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dynamisches Volumen im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 825.000,00.
