In August 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Place de la Madeleine, Paris by Paul Gagni. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,574.31), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Gagni; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Avenue De L'Opera, Paris sold at auction in December 2013 with the realized price of USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,902.97).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.574,31) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Gagni; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Avenue De L'Opera, Paris im Dezember 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.902,97).
