Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paramjit Singh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in May last year. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Landscape) sold for GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,249.71) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paramjit Singh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Distant Plains' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,508.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paramjit Singh erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Landscape) für GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.249,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paramjit Singh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Distant Plains' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.508,20).
