Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Paramjit Singh for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,540.91). This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Paramjit Singh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Distant Plains' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,508.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2009 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paramjit Singh für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.540,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paramjit Singh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Distant Plains' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.508,20).
