In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Tate Menu; Wine Glass by Patrick Caulfield. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,218.33), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Caulfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Foyer in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 665,000.00 (€ 784,634.62).

Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tate Menu; Wine Glass von Patrick Caulfield zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.218,33) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Caulfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Foyer im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 665.000,00 (€ 784.634,62).
