Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Patrick Collins could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post War and Contemporary Irish Art auction, the work Field On The Mountain changed hands for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,239.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patrick Collins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 5 Belvedere Place in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 105,952.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Patrick Collins konnte im Oktober 2006 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Field On The Mountain für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.239,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Collins auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 5 Belvedere Place im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.000,00 (€ 105.952,87).
