In October 2006 Sothebys in London held the auction Post War and Contemporary Irish Art, which included the work Chinese Landscape 3 by Patrick Scott. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,400.00 (€ 17,032.62), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Patrick Scott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Goldpainting in September 2016 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 79,621.04).

Im Oktober 2006 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chinese Landscape 3 von Patrick Scott zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.400,00 (€ 17.032,62) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Scott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Goldpainting im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 79.621,04).
