This artwork by Paul Guiragossian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November this year. In the Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection auction, the work La Lecture (The Reading) sold for GBP 151,200.00 (€ 175,207.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Guiragossian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Lutte De L'Existence, which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 605,000.00 (€ 445,049.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Guiragossian erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection wurde die Arbeit La Lecture (The Reading) für GBP 151.200,00 (€ 175.207,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 65.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Guiragossian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Lutte De L'Existence beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 605.000,00 (€ 445.049,29) versteigert wurde.
