Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work On the beach (På stranden) by Paul Gustav Fischer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,767.60), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Gustav Fischer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Winter's Day on Kongens Nytorv, Copenhagen in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 112,737.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the beach (På stranden) von Paul Gustav Fischer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.767,60) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Gustav Fischer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Winter's Day on Kongens Nytorv, Copenhagen im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 112.737,81).
