This artwork by Paul Joanovitch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2017. In the 19th Century European & Orientalist Art auction, the work A New Thread sold for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,507.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Joanovitch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Serbianbashi-Bazouks Before A Gateway in April 2018 with an auction result of GBP 465,000.00 (€ 529,585.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Joanovitch erzielte im Dezember 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art wurde die Arbeit A New Thread für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.507,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Joanovitch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Serbianbashi-Bazouks Before A Gateway im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 465.000,00 (€ 529.585,47).
