A top price for Paul Rafferty - as previously expected

In September 2020 Christies in London held the auction Great Summer Art Auction for Marie Curie, which included the work Life Guard - Cannes by Paul Rafferty. The price achieved of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,205.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Life Guard - Cannes is the most expensive artwork by Paul Rafferty that we have observed at auctions so far.

Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage

Im September 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Great Summer Art Auction for Marie Curie durch, in der auch die Arbeit Life Guard - Cannes von Paul Rafferty zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.205,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Life Guard - Cannes das teuerste Kunstwerk von Paul Rafferty, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
