It achieved a price of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 405,112.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Admittedly, works by Paul Sérusier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Filles aux grands sables in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,740,000.00 (€ 1,685,556.52).

Die Arbeit Le faucheur Breton von Paul Sérusier wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Masterpieces from the Collection of Sam Josefowitz: A Lifetime of Discovery and Scholarship bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 405.112,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Sérusier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Filles aux grands sables im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.740.000,00 (€ 1.685.556,52).
